Jira Plan - Tickets within Plan Filter Filtered Out

Presently our Jira Plan is filtering out tickets it shouldn't be. I've verified:

  • Confirmed the story matched the Plan’s JQL scope (project, fixVersion, issue type, labels, components,) *Dates are not filtered in this view of the plan
  • Verified hierarchy configuration was correct and the parent Epic was included
  • Verified the parent Epic met the Plan's JQL scope
  • Confirmed the Story appeared on the Plan’s source board
  • Confirmed View settings of Plan view does not exclude tickets and explicitly enabled Show all ticket statuses
  • Tested by reopening the Story (Done → In Progress→ Done),
    • this made the tickets appear, but was a manual redo and now has impacted reporting, jira ticket automation, and has sent unnecessary ticket status change emails.

Copilot is telling me that this is because "Advanced Roadmaps’ internally suppresses completed child issues under active Epics in Timeline views, which is not fully overridden by visible filters or the “Show completed issue statuses” toggle"

-- does Jira Plan have hidden "Jira Plan hygiene" filters that remove work that it no longer perceives pertinent? How can I resolve so that my tickets, which we meet all the conditions to show on my Plan, stop disappearing/falling off.

Hi @Michael Landry,

Plans do hide completed work items when their close date is some time in the past, by default I believe this is after 30 days.

You can review and adjust this setting in Plan Settings -> Work in your Plan:

Hope this helps!
