Jira Performance Issues - Data Center

We are running Data Center version 9.16.1 are continuously hit performance issues.  We have cleaned up all of our projects and old filters and we are still hitting issues with performance when navigating to screens.  One of our engineers who is in the pacific time zone finds it unusable and unable.  Our performance logs do not show any type of alerts.  Are there any recommendations?

Yes performance can be frustrating to both users and admins. And yes there are steps to take from your end:

• How many issues do you have in your instance?
• How many projects?
• How many custom fields? (this is critical)

You don't need to answer those questions here, that's what your admins need to check.

What Fadoua said. Plus if the performance is for a specific project, check the custom field types and whether any of them come from a specific plugin.
