Jira Login Page Customisation

I'm running Jira server version 8.10 and i want to customise the login page. Center the login box, horizontal and verical

I found the link below and wanted to ask if anyone got luck with it or u have any other possible ways to do it

To be honest i fount this article but i wasnt sure that it works since the post date was 2012
