Jira Issues and Column Managament

Hello All,

I am fairly new to Jira and I am working on developing a process and I am using Jira to track and manage the work. I am trying to figure out how the different issue types are affected by global statuses in the Kanban Board.

For example,

I create a Kanban Board and make the columns and move the global statuses around the columns. Based on how the global statuses are set up, certain issues can move between all the columns or just between two. I can figure this out with trial and error, but I was hoping that there was document floating around.

Hello @Salih Crider 

Are you working with a Team Managed project or a Company Managed project? It will say at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left.

Are you working with a Software project or another type of project (Business or Service Management)? That will be shown at the top of the navigation pane, below the project name.

Generally the default workflow for a new project allows for the change of issues from any status to any status, unless the workflow has been customized.

Can you show us a screen image for the Columns/Status mappings for your board?

Can you show us screen images for the workflows that are in use for the project?
