Hey there,
When I create an incident associated to a JSW project from a Compass Alert, the incident is not visible anywhere on the Compass Activity. I am following the "Create incidents with alerts" article.
I've gone so far to add the "components" and "associated services" to the layout in the JSW project and filled those in, but it still doesn't show on the component's activity screen in compass.
However, if i create an incident in a JSM project, it all works.
Is there something i'm missing? I don't want to purchase JSM just for the sake of adding an incident. (there's many good reasons to get JSM, but we are not there yet) We don't want the whole incident management piece in JSM, as its already handled in a different software. I just want to manually create an incident from alerts and have it appear as advertised.
Create incidents with alerts | Compass | Atlassian Support
Compass only surfaces incidents that come from a Jira Service Management (JSM) project because the incident integration depends on JSM’s incident issue type and workflow. According to Atlassian’s “Create incidents with alerts” documentation, Compass uses the JSM incident schema and Opsgenie alert linkage to display incidents in a component’s activity feed. Jira Software (JSW) projects don’t publish incident data to Compass because they lack the JSM incident type, status mapping, and service linkage fields used by Compass’s incident API.
