Jira Groups in AD are not updating in Jira Software after syncing. How can I resolve this issue?

I have disabled the local Jira Users and am wanting Jira Software to sync with my AD for users and groups. everything syncs as far as users but updating a users groups in AD does not update on the Jira side.

After you make the change to the users in the AD group in active directory are you running an additional sync?
