I don't understand the point of having the ability to include a Jira form in Slack if the only part of the form it's showing is the Summary and maybe the description?
Why can't I show my complete form in Slack, or am I missing something? If my users don't complete the entire form, we don't acknowledge their request.
Hi @Jim Gilliam
Jira's native form-in-Slack integration currently only surfaces the Summary (and sometimes Description) — it doesn't render the full form inline in Slack. It is more like issue creation sceen inside Slack
One approach worth exploring: Smart Forms for Jira (developed by my team at SaaSJet). Rather than embedding inside Slack directly, the workflow looks like this:
The form can require all fields before submission, so nothing gets through incomplete. You can also set up email notifications so your team is alerted the moment a full response comes in
Hi @jim
Could you please share a screenshot or something helpful so we can help you? Also, you may want to give some more context. Are you using slack workflow builder, an integration or what?

Hi Ignacio. Sure. Here are the steps I take with Atlassian Assist.
I have an intake form built in Jira and assigned to the Task request type.
I simply want my users in Slack (all of them have access to the form in Jira) to see and use the same form they would use if they were in Jira or in our Jira Help Portal.
Perhaps I'm not using the correct tool. Should I not use Atlassian Assist?
