Jira Field Description with githib link

Hi Team,

We are attempting to include the GitHub URL in the Jira custom field description to provide users with a reference. We have added the direct URL (the first one listed below), but it is redirecting to the main page (the second one listed below) rather than the specific URL we want to link to. How can we route the URL correctly?

We want to route to 

https://dos.xxxform.xxxx.com/resources/aws/aws-accounts/#xxx-xxx-xxx-xxx

 but it redirects to 

https://dos.xxxform.xxxx.com/resources/aws/aws-accounts/

I used the anchor link in the description to redirect to the correct page.
