I would like to share feedback regarding the Jira ticket creation experience.
When creating or editing a ticket and searching for an Epic Link, the search behavior feels quite restrictive. In many cases, it seems necessary to type almost the full epic name before the correct result appears, instead of being able to find it using just a word or part of the epic title.
This becomes frustrating and slows down the workflow, especially in projects with many epics.
Would it be possible to improve the search behavior so that it supports more flexible matching (for example, partial words, matching any word within the epic title, or more forgiving search behavior)?
I’m writing this as feedback because I think it could noticeably improve usability for many users.
Thank you for your time and consideration, and I’d appreciate hearing whether this is already planned or if there is any existing configuration that can improve it.
