We are looking at deploying Jira DC edition in our Azure tenancy, and looking to employ SAML authentication.
Currently our AAD authentication uses AAD Sync (+PTA) to our internal AD, and we have ADFS as a secondary system. Given estimated traffic flows, we think that using ADFS now will minimise traffic flows to authenticate a user, but our target state authentication is AAD. Our AD domain controllers and ADFS servers are all on premise.
A question we have based on this situation is, how easy is it to migrate between SAML authentication schemes, and is there a documented process?
TIA for your consideration.
