I understand that JCMA will migrate Proforma in JSM DC projects.
I want to know what happens to Proforma form configurations and Proforma submitted forms in Software projects during a DC to Cloud migration using JCMA.
I understand that in Cloud the Proforma functionality was subsumed into the Forms functionality for JSM. I understand that the Forms functionality for Jira is a different engine entirely.
I expect that the Forms configurations would not migrate with the Software projects. I want to know if that is correct.
An I want to know what would happen to Forms that are already submitted and part of Software project issues.
I successfully migrated the ProForma forms and configurations from Jira Data Center to Jira Cloud for Software projects about 1 year+ ago (it might be different now). The migrated forms, along with their data and configurations, are still fully accessible to both users and administrators.
However, in Jira Cloud, this appears to be somewhat of a “hidden” feature. The configuration for the migrated forms isn’t easily discoverable through the standard project settings navigation and is only accessible via the direct URL:
https://<site-name>.atlassian.net/jira/software/c/projects/<project-key>/settings/forms
Thank you.
Interesting!! Thank you for that information!
I will double check it when we do a test migration and report back if it is still true.
