Jira Custom Field - Hidden/Anchor Data

Is there a way to have a select list custom field that can have hidden/unseen info for the options. I have created a custom field that has the names of environments and I need to have an anchor or tag (or something similar) to hold the ID number for that environment to reference from a third party app.

Example: "MX_Prod {anchor 1357}"
