Hi there,
We are planning to migrate data from cloud to cloud for Jira and Confluence.
The data migration will be done in a way that overwrites the destination cloud.
In reviewing the flowchart that appears on the following page, we have identified that in this case, Jira Cloud Site Import and Confluence Cloud Site Import can be used to migrate the data.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/compare-cloud-migration-methods-981151113.html
However, when I checked the official documentation for Jira Cloud Site Import below, it appeared to only describe the steps for migrating data from the server to the cloud.
https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/migrate-from-jira-server-to-jira-cloud-972349848.html
Can you please provide me with the steps to migrate data from cloud to cloud using Jira Cloud Site Import and Confluence Cloud Site Import, if any?
Thanks kindly
Hello @TSNakamura ,
As mentioned below, you need to use Cloud xml backup to import everything from one site into cloud.
Jira Cloud site import
Jira Cloud site import uses a Jira Server or Cloud xml backup to import everything from one site into cloud. This method will overwrite any existing data in your cloud site, so is only recommended when you’re moving to a new cloud site.
Thank you for your answer.
I understand that Cloud xml backup allows you to move from cloud to cloud.
Let me make one additional point.
Am I correct in understanding that the procedure for obtaining Cloud xml backup is as described in the following page?
I am aware that the entire Jira Cloud site is exportable in this procedure.
