Hello,
I am trying to import new subtasks and link them to an existing story but it fails:
doesn't have a valid Parent Id selection. Issue will not be created.
I've read all the posts and solutions for this but this does not seem to work for me using Jira Cloud.
Summary | Issue ID | Parent ID | Issue Type
Subtask Name | 1001 | TTT-123 | Sub-task
-I am mapping the fields via the import wizard.
-I am assigning Issue ID a random sequence number.
Thanks
In order to import new Sub-tasks and link them to an existing story, add the column to the csv as in the below screenshot. Parent Id should have the Story Issue Key like here in W2-35 is the Story Issue Key.
Don't include Issue Id column to the CSV for importing the issue. Issue Id mainly works for updating the existing issues.
Thank you,
Ashish
Unfortunately that still didn't work. I eliminated the Issue ID column and the same error remains. The parent ID columns is for sure referring to a valid parent ID.

To what field have you mapped the Parent ID column during the import?
Are you importing to a Team Managed project or a Company Managed projec?

Parent ID in my csv is mapped to Parent ID in Jira.
I am in a company managed project. Thanks!
