Jira Charts in Confluence do not work any longer

Daniel Pollak
Contributor
August 22, 2018

Since we moved confluence to a new server Jira Charts are no longer working.

'com.atlassian.sal.api.net.ResponseException: Can not retrieve jira chart image

is the error message. Jira still creates the charts in the "caches" folder, but confluence cannot access it anymore.

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/inserting-jira-chart-into-confluence-page-results-in-a-responseexception-and-chart-does-not-display-915482800.html

explains the problem and sais "make sure the directory can be read and written by other nodes".

It does not say how I do that. How do I allow Confluence access this folder on the Jira Server.

Please bash me for informing you that we use Windows Server.

Thanks in advance,

Daniel.

I would say, in this case create the folder called 'caches' in the JIRA Shared Home folder if it is missing.  Set it to inherit the rights of the parent folder.
