Jira Boards Don't Snap To My Tasks After Upgrade

Rob Ables
September 11, 2020

Hello,

My organization typically stays on Enterprise releases of Jira server (locally hosted).   We just upgraded from 7.13 to 8.5.5.

On 7.13, when I open a Kanban or Scrum board that showed tasks for all users in their swim lanes, the board would "snap" or jump to my swim lane or at least the last task I had clicked on the last time I was on the board.  That functionality is gone in 8.5.5.  Now, I have to scroll passed all the other users (my name is alphabetically last) to see my items.  I am the team lead on several projects that are large and have many tasks in a sprint, and I typically need to see them all at times, but it would be nice to have that old functionality back.  Yes, I understand I can use a quick filter to show only my tasks.

I looked in the board settings and see nothing for an option like this, and don't see a post about this in the community search.  Does anyone know of a way to turn that functionality back on or is it gone with the updated version code?

Thanks in advance.

Rob
