Jira - Assets - Dashboard - Missing Object types when trying to add a widget

Hi,

I use the reports function and see that dashboards are replacing this.  However I am missing some object types in my list so cant then do a graph for these.  Anyone else having the same issue?  Is this just a slight glitch?

Thanks

Christine

Hi @c.crow ,

I'd like to confirm a few things:

  1. You're working with Jira Dashboards, and _NOT_ Atlassian Analytics Dashboaridns, correct?
  2. Could you clarify what widget you're trying to add to your Jira Dashboard?
  3. What is the name of the Object Type you expect to see, which is not listed?

Thanks,

Robert

Hi,

Its the new asset dashboard feature as it looks like reports is going legacy.

Within this it give you an option to add a widget. When I select that it doesn't for example give me the software licences tab that is a sub section in my CMDB.  Others are missing too but some are there.

Just so happens to be the ones I want that are not there.  Wasn't sure if there was a reason some where there and not there.

Thanks

Christine

@c.crow Ah! I see what you're talking about, the new Dashboards functionality within the Assets app itself!

Q; What type of Widget are you trying to add, and what information are you aiming to capture?

On my sample instance, I am adding a "Count of objects" widget, and I am seeing most, if not all, of the unique object types I have configured.

Q: Could you please share screenshots of the Object Tree in your schema, and the dropdown options in the Widget configuration pane.

If this still doesn't show you all the asset objects, I'd recommend reaching out to Atlassian Support directly via support.atlassian.com to see if there is something wonky with your instance.
