Jira Align development

Good morning, I'm new to the Atlassian environment. While exploring the environment, I came across the Strategy Collection, which includes Jira Align.

 As I understand it from the 2026 keynotes, Atlassian and the partners is currently using Jira Align to manage entire projects. The thing is, in the courses open to the community—as well as the partner courses—I haven’t found much in-depth or detailed information about Jira Align.I found that there was once an APB 710 course on Jira Align, but I couldn’t find that course or anything similar.

So I’d like to know where I can find more information to learn about its capabilities, such as how to use the Strategy Collection, as well as whether Align is indeed a priority for Atlassian and if it’s worth specializing in the collection.

1. Foundational: Complete the Jira Align Program Essentials on Atlassian University (now free).

2. Technical: Bookmark and explore the Jira Align Help Center for specific feature documentation and the Support Guide.

3. Strategic: Review the Strategy Collection - Strategic Portfolio Management | Atlassian to understand how the ecosystem is evolving toward Focus and Talent.

Yes, Jira Align is definitely still worth learning. What has changed is mainly how Atlassian positions it. Rather than looking at Jira Align completely on its own, I would look at it as part of the broader Strategy Collection, together with Focus and Talent.

In simple terms, Focus defines and communicates strategic priorities, Talent aligns people and capacity to those priorities, and Jira Align provides the enterprise planning and execution layer that connects strategy with portfolios, programs, and the work teams deliver.
