Jira API Key

I'm trying to pull data from jira sys and my Question is: does the API Key is a token or something differnt?

API key pull the data from Jira using GET method, so you want to generate that, when you click on your avatar, choose Account settings > Security > Create API token

Please remember
The api-token is not universal: It can only pull the issues that the account, which made the token in the firrst place, is allowed to view.

This depends on which tool are you using. Is it the app from Atlassian marketplace or the external one?

it is external one SSIS Powerpack tool
