Hey all,

We still have one older Jira installation (v. 5.1.5) on a small use in our company and it's using TLS 1.0 version which is not in general use anymore (not secure, browsers blocking etc).

Jira is using java 6 - from what I read java 6 supports only TLS 1.0 and jira versions 5.1.x wont support higher java version than 6.

Is it possible to enable TLS 1.2 on this web application?

Thanks,

Sam

Technically, you could, by upgrading the Tomcat under Jira and modifying the settings.  This, of course, is complicated, totally unsupported (not that you have any form of support now), and may break your Jira.

I would strongly recommend simply upgrading Jira.

Yes I think its the best option here considering how old the version we're using is.

Thanks for reply.
