Jira タイムラインで、Epic配下の子課題が階層表示されない件について

Jira Software Cloud のタイムライン表示について確認させてください。

現在、以下のプロジェクト／ボードでタイムラインを使用しています。

プロジェクト：MD / Mobiconnect 開発
ボード：PMO ボード
タイムラインURL：

Epic 課題の配下に子課題を登録しています。

例：

• エピック：MD-21612
• 子課題：MD-21670、MD-21671

Epic 課題の詳細画面では、「子作業項目」に子課題が正しく表示されています。また
、子課題側でも以下の項目は正しく設定されているように見えます。

• 親/親
• 開始日 / 開始日
• 期限 / 期限
• 修正バージョン / 修正バージョン
• ステータス

しかし、タイムライン画面では、子課題がエピックの配下に展開表示されません
。

ボード設定を確認したところ、以下の設定になりました。

ボード設定 ＞ レイアウト ＞ 列 ＞ Epicの作業項目

現在の設定：

• ボードにカードとして表示

もう一方の選択肢：

• バックログのエピックパネルに表示する

はグレーアウトしております、選択できません。

画面上の説明を見る限り、カンバンバックログが有効になっていないことが理由のように見えます
。

以下について確認させてください。

1. タイムラインで子課題がエピック配下に表示されない原因は、エピックの作業項目が「ボードにカードとして表示」になっていることと関係ありますか？
2. タイムラインでEpic配下の子課題を敗北表示するには、カンバンバックログを有効化して、「バックログのEpicパネルに表示する」へ変更する必要がありますか？
3. その設定変更には、どの権限が必要ですか?
4. タイムラインでEpicと子の課題を敗北表示するために、他に確認すべき設定はありますか？
5. 最新の表示が Jira の仕様であれば、Epic と子課題をタイムライン上で開始／展開表示する正しい設定方法を教えてください。

必要であれば、タイムライン画面、Epic詳細画面、ボード設定画面のスクリーンショットを提出できます。

タイムライン画面で「フィルターをクリア」を実行しましたが、表示内容は変わりませんでした。

タイムライン画面のスクリーンショットを添付します。

添付したスクリーンショットでは、以下の状態が確認できます。

• MD-21612 が Epic です。
• MD-21670、MD-21671 は MD-21612 の子作業項目です。
• Epic 詳細画面では、MD-21670、MD-21671 が「子作業項目」として正しく表示されています。
• タイムライン画面でも親子関係自体は認識されているように見えます。
• ただし、期待している表示とは逆に、子作業項目側の行を展開すると親 Epic が表示される状態になっています。
• 期待している表示は、Epic MD-21612 を展開すると、その配下に MD-21670、MD-21671 が表示される形です。

現在の表示：
MD-21670
　└ MD-21612

期待している表示：
MD-21612
　└ MD-21670
　└ MD-21671

この表示になる原因、またはタイムライン上で Epic を親行として表示し、その配下に子作業項目を階層表示するために必要な設定・条件があれば教えていただけますでしょうか。

1. いいえ、その設定はタイムラインビューには影響しません。

2. いいえ、それでは現在発生している問題は解決しません。

3. ボードの設定を変更するには、そのボードの管理者である必要があります。ご質問の変更を行うには、まずボードの最初の列にあるステータスを「カンバンバックログ」列に移動させ、「バックログ」ビューを有効にする必要があります。ただし、それを行っても今回の問題は解決しません。

Can you provide a screen image of your Timeline Screen?

To answer your questions.

1. No, that setting does not affect the timeline view.

2. No, that will not address the issue you are experiencing.

3. You need to be an Administrator of the board to change its configuration. For that specific change you would need to first enable the Backlog view by moving the Status in your first board column to the Kanban Backlog column. But that would not fix your issue.

4. Make sure you do not have any filters set in your timeline view. Click the Clear Filters option.

5. To provide advice on whether what you are experiencing is standard functionality let us first ensure you have no filters enable and see a screen image of what you experiencing.

Regarding the issue where sub-tasks under an Epic are not displayed hierarchically on the Jira timeline

I would like to make an inquiry regarding the timeline view in Jira Software Cloud.

I am currently using the timeline feature for the following project and board:

Project: MD / Mobiconnect Development
Board: PMO Board
Timeline URL:

I have registered child issues under an Epic issue.

Example:

Epic: MD-21612
Child issues: MD-21670, MD-21671

On the Epic issue's detail screen, the child issues are correctly displayed under "Child work items." Additionally, the following fields appear to be correctly configured on the child issues themselves:

Parent
Start date
Due date
Fix Version/s
Status

However, on the timeline screen, sub-tasks are not displayed expanded under their parent epics.

Upon checking the board settings, I found the following configuration:

Board Settings > Layout > Columns > Epic Work Items

Current setting:

Display as cards on the board

The other option:

Display in the backlog's Epic panel

is grayed out and cannot be selected.

Based on the on-screen description, it appears that the Kanban backlog is not enabled.

I would like to clarify the following points:

1. Is the reason why child issues do not appear under the Epic on the timeline related to the fact that the Epic's work items are set to "Display as cards on the board"?
2. To display child issues under the Epic on the timeline, is it necessary to enable the Kanban backlog and change the setting to "Show in Epic panel on backlog"?
3. What permissions are required to change that setting?
4. Are there any other settings I should check to ensure Epics and child issues are displayed on the timeline?
5. If this current display behavior is standard Jira functionality, please explain the correct configuration to display Epics and child issues (and allow them to be expanded) on the timeline.

I can provide screenshots of the timeline view, Epic details screen, and board settings screen if necessary.

I believe what you are seeing is related to the changes described here:

Specifically I think it relates to these two sections in that article:

[Changed] Hierarchy displays as a flyout modal when filter is active

Filtered hierarchy view: Epic grouping, sprint visibility, Initiative-level hierarchy, and multi-team filters

I note in your reply that you said there are no filters applied. I suspect that what you are seeing is still related to these changes.

I recommend that you add a comment to that article to provide feedback and a pointer to your Question post here to see if the Atlassian team member who wrote the article can provide more insight. I tried "Clear Filters" on the timeline screen, but the displayed content did not change.

I've attached a screenshot of the timeline screen.

The attached screenshot shows the following:

• MD-21612That's Epic.
• MD-21670, is MD-21671a taskMD-21612
• In the Epic details screen, MD-21670, MD-21671are correctly displayed as "child work items".
• The parent-child relationship itself appears to be recognized on the timeline screen.
• However, contrary to what was expected, when you expand the row on the child work item side, the parent Epic is displayed.
• The expected display is that MD-21612when you expand Epic, the following will appear under MD-21670it MD-21671.

Current display:
MD-21670
　└MD-21612

Expected display:
MD-21612
　└ MD-21670
　└MD-21671

Could you please tell me what causes this display, or if there are any settings or conditions necessary to display Epic as a parent row on the timeline, with child work items displayed hierarchically under it?
