JQL query to show links of any type between two issue types (ADO Replication)

Paweł Partyka February 21, 2023

I am new user to Jira and need to translate queries from Azure DevOps to Jira.

I was tasked to create a query that will show issues of specific type (Tasks) that have links to different type of issues (Test Cases). However, I am having trouble finding a way in Jira to show query based on links.

Is there any criteria that I can use to show links or types of links between issues?
I see that only criteria that Jira shows to me is "Epic Link" and "Parent Link" but those does not resolve the issue, as those items have different Epics and Parents.

This is type of query I've used in ADO, is it possible to replicate it in Jira?

Hello @Paweł Partyka

Welcome to the Atlassian community!

Jira's native query functionality related to linked issues is very basic. You can find the functions here:

The type of query you want to build is not natively supported. It would require the addition of a third party app that extends the query functionality of Jira. There are several such apps available from the Atlassian Marketplace.

Hello Trudy!
Thanks for help, shame it is not supported, but thanks a lot for helpful links, I will dig into it and look for plugin then.

Cheers!
