Hi,

I'm afraid that it's not possible without an addon

Hi @Priyanka Ravindra Chavan

just to add to Mohamed's answer, this would be easily possible in the app that my team is working on, JXL for Jira.

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by any issue field. It also understands parent/child relationships between issues.

Here's how this would work:

  • Create a so-called JXL sheet based on a JQL that includes all all the tasks that you are interested in (i.e., all tasks with a certain field value), plus any possible sub-task (e.g. all sub-tasks of the projects that you're generally interested in). Don't worry about the parent/child relationship; JXL will sort this out for you.
  • In your JXL sheet, enable the default issue hierarchy. That's a one-click operation.

You will now see the relevant tasks with their sub-tasks underneath them. All other sub-tasks are in a special bucket that you can just ignore. You can now operate on this list using JXL's capabilities or trigger a number of operations, e.g. an export to Excel or CSV.

Hope this helps,

Best, Hannes
