JQL filter for epics

Hello,

I want to create board which will show only certain epics. My filter is:

project = XYZ AND "Epic Link" in (ABC-0001, ABC-0002) ORDER BY Rank ASC

JIRA issues are correctly filtered but backlog does not allow to filter JIRA items by epic:

This behaviour occurs when I add "Epic Link" or "Epic Name" to the filter. Is there any workaround?

I haven’t played with this bout would expect the epics to be excluded when filtering specifically on epic link in board filter. Have you tried using quick filters to accomplish the same?

Quick filters won't filter (in this case hide) unwanted epics from backlog.

This plugin might solve the issue, but I highly doubt we will ever purchase it

Is there any way how to hide unwanted epics from backlog - besides marking them as "done"?
