I have JIRA setup on my laptop and I have created A Scrum board for my team of 4. I have setup up 4 different users. I am now trying to install JIRA on another PC so that I can connect to the same Scrum board. When I installed on the other PC I ended up with a complete different instance. How do I connect the 1 Scrum board to different PCs. I have the Student JIRA account.

You cannot share boards across different instances.

I think you've misunderstood the difference between client and server software.  A server provides a service that a client connects to in order to do things.  What you have done is installed two servers on two different machines, and you're using your browsers as the "clients"

What you need to do is decide where you are going to run a single installation of JIRA and then connect to it over your network using the browsers.
