The JIRA <> Copado sync is partly working but I have been told that the JIRA user profiles of those assigned to JIRA 'issues' have to set their profile email address to be 'Visible for anyone'. Otherwise the issues assigned to that user are not syncing.
This seems a strange requirement for syncing to Copado. With JIRA cloud, this will require every potential assignee to change their profile setting to display their email address to anyone using our JIRA instance.
Has anyone else come across this?

This sounds like a problem with Copado - my guess is that it is trying to match up users in Jira with its own user list by relying on the user's email address instead of a unique identifier. You'll need to take this to Copado (or the authors of your sync process) to ask them if they can implement a better mapping.
Hi Nic, thank you for your greeting and response. I have asked Copado engineering to investigate as relying on individual's profile visibility setting is sub-optimum. If other 3rd parties can link to JIRA without this problem then Copado should be able to do the same.
