JIRA issue status change: Endless hourglass, but not committed

Hi, we have a problem with our workflow of JIRA Agile.

The status transition from "In Progress" to "Verify" does not work. If I press the button "Verify", I see the spinning hourglass, but nothing happens. If I load the issue again, it is still in status "In Progress".

What could be the reason for this?

What can we do to troubleshoot it?

What validators and post-functions do you have on the "Verify" transition?

What does your log file say at the time you click the button?

Thank you for the help – now we have just found the reason. The transition was referencing an input mask which was not present in the workflow. We removed that, and now it works fine!
