I am trying to do the same thing.  I want to create tickets from Logicmonitor alerts.  I followed the Create and Close Tickets in Jira (or Any Other Tool) in Response to Alerts link but I am not sure how to authenticate since Atlassian no longer supports basic auth using passwords.  How can I accomplish this using tokens instead?
