Problem: it takes too long to read through all of the comments of a task in JIRA. we use the comments to track updates related to the work done on a task and the status (in more words than just the status icon).
To understand the history and current state of a task, we'd like to have one field that easily summarizes the comments. Can this be done?

Yes this should work with Rovo!
If you need the summary to be in a separate text field you could invoke Rovo via an automation rule and let the automation rule add the AI-generated summary to the field.
But I don't think you should store it a separate field since each user can ask Rovo to have a summary.
With an automation rule you'd have to run it for every new comment which is not ideal.
