JIRA Upgrade from 8.20.11 to latest LTS version Clarification

Dear Team,

We want to upgrade our JIRA 8.20.11 to the latest LTS version 10.3. Here how to proceed with our upgrade. Do we need to migrate in stages:

1. 8.20.11 to 9.4, then 9.4 to 9.12 and then 9.12 to 10.3
2. Or can we directly upgrade from 8.20.11 to 10.3
3. Or can we directly upgrade it to 9.12 then 10.3
4. Or can we upgrade it to 9.4 then 10.3

 What will happen if we directly upgrade our JIRA 8.20.11 to 10.3.

Hi @RG 

Doing intermediate upgrade usually limit the risk of having an issue. I would do at least one intermediate in JIRA9. You can have some information in the upgrade not for the version you want to migrate too.

You also need to check with your apps if there is no intermediate version to go through that could require an intermediate version.
