Hi ,
We have migrated some of our projects to JIRA cloud but they are missing attachments and comments . Can anyone help whats the best way to migrate projects with attachments comments to cloud .
Many thanks
The server JIRA setup asks were you want the attachments (drive, folder, etc.) so you need to ask the cloud admin where they need to go and if you can put them there directly or if he can do that for you.
It will help if you tell us how you migrated to the cloud. You say 'some' so it sounds like is wasn't a import from your server backup.
Hi Many thanks for reply , we initially did the migration using export button from issues navigator , but problem is we are missing attachments and comments . I am looking forward for a best approach to put attachments and comments into cloud .
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Any API call or Java based script to import attachments and comments to projects in cloud.

I don't believe the export you did includes the the comments.
The attachments ALWAYS need to be moved separately. Even when you use the JIRA backup to a zip file it tells you the attachments still need to be moved. I've always used the server version so moving the attachments is fairly straightforward. As I said above, contact the cloud folks to talk about the attachments.
If you go to the cloud do the issues show having an attachment? I'm wondering if that information wasn't carried forward to the cloud instance.
