JIRA Server App, proxy requires authentication

Hello,

We are interested in using the JIRA Server app

However, our JIRA server is not located in the DMS, it is internal.  We can access our application via an Azure proxy.  We have an enterprise app configured on Azure using SAML to authenticate to our JIRA application. 

The JIRA server mobile app wants to verify the version of JIRA we are running before it will allow access to the mobile app.  Unfortunately, it comes back with can't check compatibility error.  We have added the server info link to our JIRA server whitelist and if we enter the proxy URL server info link from google or edge, it works and returns results once we authenticate. 

We cannot open up the Azure proxy to passthru without authentication, so how do we get this application to work?  We would like to use the application as it probably renders better on mobile than straight connect via browser
