JIRA Roadmap - fixed dependencies

Hi there,

we'd like to use Roadmaps for Jira to prepare timings for our clients. 

I already found out that it's possible to link two tasks to each other, but is it possible to link these two tasks fixed? So when the first one lasts longer than planned and expected and I change the due-date that the second tasks starts not until the first one is finished? I know this function from other scheduling tools and would like to know if this is possible somehow.

Welcome to the community.

In the Jira Premium subscription with the Advanced Roadmaps feature there is a function called Auto-scheduling that might handle this scenario. That function is not available in the Basic Roadmaps feature available in a Jira Standard subscription.

If you don't have Jira Premium, you would have to find another way to manage the data changes, perhaps using the Automation for Jira feature. I don't have the details on how to implement that, but you may be able to find another post that does.
