While working on JIRA, I came across a situation w.r.t. estimating JIRA issues. Here is the case:
User Story "A" has two sub-tasks, "B" and "C".
Estimate provided for User story "A" was 8hours. So hereby I assumed that all the components within this story which includes the sub-tasks B and C must be completed within the same time bound.
But, one of my colleagues when added an estimation of 4hours for Sub-task B and 6hours for Sub-task C the same got updated in the respective sub-tasks, but the Original estimate provided to the story A, i.e. 8hours remained un-changed though the 2 sub-tasks's aggregate estimate becomes 12 hours.
So is that a bug or something I missed at my understanding. Kindly suggest !!
