[JIRA] How to cancel automatic time logging as issue status changes? (not a post-function)

Nikita Serov May 27, 2019

I am a Project Manager. I got into the current project when it was already started.
When I change the issue status Jira automatically logs an additional 30 minutes of work to that issue. Probably the previous PM needed it but I want to remove this automatic logging.

I have jira-administrator rights. I've checked post-functions and removed ones that were adding 30 minutes logging. But I still have this problem with the transition "Opened -> Acknowledged". There are no post-functions with 30 minutes logging in there but it works like it's there.

There are no other jira-administrators in our company that can help me. We all manage it by ourselves.

Hi @Nikita Serov ,

did you publish the workflow after this change? I think that your workflow is probably in draft so your change is not available.

Hope this helps,

Fabio

Thank you for your answer.

Yes, I published the workflow after I made changes. And I checked it a few days after. It had no post-functions that I removed before.

What else can cause this problem?

Are you sure that your issue type is associated to that workflow in the workflow scheme? There're several method to log automatically on transition (Listener, third part app and so on) but is strange that you found a post function and removing it nothing happens.

Ciao,

Fabio

My bad. Actually, the workflow was in draft. I have published it and it started working.

Thank you very much for your help!
