JIRA Filter search disabled basic tab for a specific value of Reporter

Request you to please assist here and suggest. JIRA Filter search disables basic tab for a specific value of Reporter (say for ex. jack.li). It works fine for other users though.

Ok, let's run over the other stuff

Does the user have any special characters in name, id, email, etc?

Does the user have "create" permission in any project?

What are the differences between this account and one that works?

Hi Nic,

We have reviewed everything as mentioned above for the user profiles (3 affected) for which the filter search changes to Advanced and does not allow basic search.

Everything looks fine but Filter search does not work in Basic mode.

Request you to please assist.

User account is only one and in one directory. Something else seems to be causing this. Please suggest.

I suspect you have duplicate users in different user directories.  The basic search can only cope with one user list.
