JIRA Blank Error Message

Duncan DAVIES April 17, 2012

Hi

One of our staff members got this error messagewhen trying to transition a workflow. The error went away when the comment was removed, but I can confirm the staff member had commenting permission, and was able to comment on other issues. We have no security level set for this project.

This can be caused by a problem in a workflow validator or post function or similar. Check the logs as Colin suggests for hints on what may be causing it. Look at your workflow transition and see what customization you have.

Best bet would be to check out the server logs and/or generate a support zip file that contains the logs and post some errors here (or log with JIRA support)
