Hello,
Recently I've noticed a warning on the "PowerBI Connector for JIRA" application, mentioning that the JIRA API tokens are getting deprecated.
I'm referring to this announcement: https://aserve.atlassian.net/wiki/x/AwDc7w
I use a lot this application to build Business Intelligence reports based on JIRA data and have a lot of them built using my token, and so I have two main questions:
1. What action is required on my end to ensure that all the reports built based on these tokens, will remain accessible, up and running?
2. Will the new Forge application allow me to extract the same table format from the API? What I mean by this is the typical tables, I'm used to work with (Issues, TimeInStatus, CustomFields, Histories, and so on...)?
Warmest regards,
João Ramalho
For specific details you might want to reach out to Alphaserve (well Tempo now) through their support portal.
https://tempo-io.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/6/group/1065/create/1411
Going by the documentation you linked they rely in their app on a personal access token (for the API's). As Atlassian is making use of that not eligable for the Run On Atlassian badge they are moving away from the legacy Connect framework and moving to the Forge platform (Atlassian's "new" development platform) and they will need to relay on OAuth authentication instead of API tokens.
The page you linked mentions that due to that they will not be able to access certain api's and the information they will be able to pull will be limited (details are in your own link).
But to be sure regarding specific availability of data I'd suggest opening a ticket with Tempo to get more details.
@Dirk Ronsmans deeply appreciate the redirection. I've created a ticket on their platform.
Thanks!
