Issues when sending email via automation

Hi,

We have an automation that sends an email when an issue is created. However, there are two issues:

1. The creator's name appears as a coded string.
2. The date is displayed in the wrong timezone.

Any suggestions on how to fix these issues?

Hi @barbara foblets and welcome,

in my opinion there is some issue with smart values used in your automation :

1. Try to use {{creator.displayName}}
2. Try to set timezone following code {{[date].convertToTimeZone([timezone])}} (https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/jira-smart-values-date-and-time/)
   1. Example {{now.setTimeZone("Australia/Sydney")}}
