Issues Migration from one project to another project

Hello,

I want to migarte all the issues from one project to another project. Could you please tell what are the parameters that I need to check before doing this migration activity ?

FYI : I have checked both the project and found that those don't have exact same issue type scheme, workflow scheme, screens and custom field. Will this affect the issues after migration to destination project ?

Hi @Soumya Subudhi

If you are moving issues within the same Jira you can use Bulk actions

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiracoreserver0813/editing-multiple-issues-at-the-same-time-1027139331.html

Search for issues to move. The use Tools/Bulk Actions

Choose operation Move.

You will be asked to map the issue types and workflow statuses onto the new project settings.

No data will be lost but you will only see fields visible on the new project forms. There may be issues with scope of custom fields you will need to resolve depending on your set-up.

Best

Hi @Soumya Subudhi

I would highly recommend using either Configuration Manager for Jira or Project Configurator to perform the migration of all elements you need to be replicated to another project and resolve all potential issues due to manual work/duplicates/scheme matching, etc.
