Issue with task assignement

Hi! I'm trying to assign a task to a specific person, but the error keeps popping up: we couldn't save the user value. Could you please check?

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

For a user to be assigned work items, they need to have the Assignable user permission on the Project. You can navigate to the Space settings > Permissions and verify if the user is added to the groups/role that has the Assignable user permission.
