Hi!
When importing CSV I have a separate column "Issue Type" which does show up in the field mapping part of the import process.
However I can't map it to "Issue Type" - only "Issue Color" shows up?
Screenshot attached,
I am an admin.
Thanks in advance!
Sarah
Since I just figured out what the issue was - if you use Jira in German here's the solution:
Obwohl es Einträge wie Issue Color, Project Overview Key, Epic Type etc. gibt, heißt Issue Key auf Deutsch "Vorgangsschlüssel". Dazu gibt es dann auch die "Vorgangstype".
Hi Sarah - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I have not done an import since Jira switched over from using Issue to Work Item. You might try searching for Work Item Type.

Hi!
Thank you for the hint, but sadly Work Item isn't available either.
Type-wise only Request Type and Change Type are available and I tried both - but in both cases the entries get imported as tasks, not epics.

I just did an import and it should show up at Work Type.
It might be the way you are coming in. You have to be a Jira Administrator and do the import from Settings > System > External System Import and then choose the Old method for CSV.

Thanks for testing it out! I do it exactly the way you described; maybe it's plan-dependent.

It shouldn't be but who knows at this point. Do you have multiple different work item types in the same CSV? Or just a single one and want to make sure it uses it on the import?

Multiple - but only 3 for now for testing. However since I only want to import Epics anyway I just changed the default type for imports to Epics - seems to work fine for now (I hope I don't jinx it)
