Hi,

Is it possible to define a user group that has a permission to view and edit and comment ONLY issues that was reported by a specific user?

We'd like to set up a project for diferent users, and don't to allow users to see other users' issues.

Regards,

Viktor

There's two different questions here.

  • Permission to deal with issues reported by a specific user
  • Permission to deal with issues reported by oneself

The first one might be possible with some torturous logic and updating user-based fields automatically as changes are made to the issue, but I wouldn't really like to try it.

The second is quite easy, and called "Reporter Browse". It is turned off by default in Jira, because you have to understand not to use it in some places (basically, only use it in "browse" permission, then use the normal "reporter" for edit/comment etc).
