Hello, I manage multiple JIRA projects and have different custom fields for each project. I also have a JIRA administrator role in our JIRA instance. I need to have separate field ordering for each of my projects in the issue list view, so that I can take quick reports (without any rearrangement of fields in the report) for each project. Currently when I log in, I can view only one order of fields (that I had made for my first project) in any of the projects I log in to. Is there a work-around for achieving this order layout?
Hi @Preeti Nair and welcome to the Community!
For reporting purposes, you can create and save filters via Filters > Advanced issue search. After you select (e.g.) the issues for one project, you can save that filter.
With each filter, you can define which columns are shown and reorder them by dragging and dropping them in the desired place. When you do so, make sure to select the Filter tab under Columns, as you can see here:
That way, the selected columns and the order they appear in is stored with the filter. So each time you open it, it will display the selected columns.
Hope this helps!
@Walter Buggenhout _ACA IT_ Great, thanks so much. That helps.
One more question - While selecting multiple fields in the Columns drop-down, the Done button disappears. I have to select each field separately(more if they are alphabetically close) and save. Is this a computer screen resolution issue or is there a work-around?
