I created an issue collector for my project on JIRA. Now, when a user submits a task I receive this task with all of the information submitted in the form fields. Great.
However, when the checkbox that says "Include data about your current environment, like the browser and page URL. This helps us understand your feedback better." is checked. - I still get exactly the same task without any additional information.
Where can I view this super important browser info inside my board / backlog?
OK OK OK : I understand. :-)
If you wanna set environment datas, follow those steps:

Thank for the prompt reply Fabio. I understand how to create an additional field:
Project settings > Fields and then change the Task type field configuration by adding another Environment field.
How do I add this field in the Issue Collector editor? I don't see it in the Issue collector form field options -
Thanks in advance.

Environment is not ad additional field. it exists. Let me explain all complete solution:
1. Configure screen
Go to project settings --> Screens
identify the CREATE SCREEN of issue type used by issue collector. So, modify screen and ADD environment field (it exists)
Environment is a system field, so you don't need add :)
2. Modify issue collector and ADD the new field (now you will see in list)

Awesome! That just worked perfectly for me.
There is just one thing.. now that there is an additional "Environment field" that doesn't need to be manually populated by the user (as the checkbox automatically populated this..) I want to be able to hide it to avoid unnecessary confusion.
Do you know if I can do that?
Thank you so much for your help.

You can keep field in issue collector. All text inserted by user will be insert in field. If you keep environment in create screen but exclude form issue collection (just de-select it from list) and information will be inserted.
THe only condition you need: keep the field in create screeen.
Happy to help you :)

Hi @Itai Gal
I've checked and I don't see nothing. User and email are in description, but special information are not visible :O
Let me check :)

I've got Environment in Create screen, and it appears in the Issue Collector bit in project settings under Custom Fields, but is de-selected. Nothing gets passed through to the Jira task that's generated. If I check the box, it appears and I can put "Extra Info" in the field but that's all that's passed through. So far, ONLY selecting that box gets the environment info.

Hi @Steven Kruger , I know this was created a long time ago, but I just recently set this up following the above steps, plus I had to include the Environment field in the Edit/View screen as well (not just the Create screen). Hope that helps!
