Issue Collector: Email Postfunction Attachments

Hello everyone,

we use a issue collector in a project. The standard event is not enough for us.

We use Jira Misc Workflow Extensions (JMWE) and Email This Issue (JETI). Both addons offer post functions to send emails.

After creation via the issue collector, an email including all attachments should be sent. No matter which setting I choose (all attachments, attachments of the transition etc), the mail is sent without attachments.

Is there an explanation? Or is there even a workaround?

Hi @Ralf Fehling 

This is because the issue collector first creates the new issue, and then adds the attachments to it (you can't add attachments before the issue is created). So when you react to the issue created event, or the Create transition, the attachments don't yet exist. 

The workaround would be to use a Scheduled Action running every 10 minutes to send an email for all issues created between 1 minute and 11 minutes ago. This way you'll give Jira time to add all the attachments before the email issue post function runs.

I am facing an issue where I have created an issue collector when I am attaching the attachments  and browser information its somehow not sending it in the JIRA ticket . Could you help troubleshoot this issue?
