Is there recommanded maximum number of issues in a jira project?

Is there recommanded maximum number of issues in a jira project? We have one project which contains around 85900 issues. Our users reached out to us, because they can´t access the KANBAN board anymore.

There is a good response from An Atlassian Team member here - Does-JIRA-Cloud-slow-down-if-there-are-a-large-number-of-issues . One thing to check is the number of issue without Resolution.
