Is there possibility (or workaround) to allow manage project versions in jira without any access to people|components on jira project

According to https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA051/Managing+Versions only project administrator and jira administrator have rights to administer jira project - manage people, versions and components

Is there possibility to divide this permission into parts - allow manage versions, but not people and components? Is there any workarounds?

Hi Alex,

This is not possible in the current versions of JIRA. However I found a post that might be helpful to you.

I find the answer in the above link a little messy. Not sure if you want to go that way.
