Is there any way to archive a list in an Agility Board

We used to use Trello and have just migrated all our issues over to teh new Jira Agility Board. We are looking to archive some of the lists to stop the board getting too big, like we used to do in Trello. But it only gives the option to delete.

Is there any way to archive a list in an Agility Board?

If the issues are marked Done (far right column) they will disappear from the board after 2 weeks.

Where do they disappear to? Is there any way to get them back?

The board is simply a visual representation of issue in a project. Done issues are designed to simply be hidden from view after 2 weeks. The issues still exist and can be found by searching for Done issues or whatever means you use to look at old issues. They are removed from the board only to remove clutter.
