Is there a way to show sub-status on Jira board?

Currently, my Jira project board looks like below

I want to show the sub-status on the board somehow. Is there a good solution to this?

I do know I can modify the card settings to have the sub-status. But I'm looking for a solution for the stories as shown in the image above.

What do you mean by "sub status"? Jira doesn't have a sub-status, an issue is in a single status at any one time.
